25th Anniversary of this website 

 July 2024 marked the 25th Anniversary of this website when it was launched on the freeserve platform during July 1999. It became a .com site in 2002 when hosting was moved to 123reg.

The site launched in 1999 as a ten page website which over the last 25 years has grown to over 250 pages covering information on both Redditch Model Railway Club and local railway history.

The internet world was totally difference back in 1999 when much of it was still in its infancy. When this site was launched in July 1999 the extensive ukmodelshop  website would not be launched until the following month, Facebook would not be created for another five years until February 2004 and Twitter now X in March 2006. It is hard to believe when our website was launched Google was less than 12 months old!
