Barrie Island Rebuilding Photographs to create Mark III

When the Covid Lockdown started in March 2020 the Club put Barrie Island into storage so as to reduce contact between Club Members. It had become apparent that that whilst functional the Mark II version of Barrie Island was too heavy and cumbersome so a plan was drawn up to solve this. Building on the recent experience in baseboard construction for other layouts members decided to create a Mark II version of the test tack using plywood instead of chipboard baseboards. This new version has its own folding legs and is of a size that it could be easily stored when not in use. It was agreed at a Members meeting in March 2022 that we would start the project  Work started soon afterwards:
The timber arrived in the Club room cut up and ready to assemble on 29th March 2022 The basic board was assembled on 31st March 2022
Bracing was added on the 5th April 2022 Folding legs by 12th April 2022
