December 2006
The
Club started the month off by exhibiting our Arrowmouth layout at the Warley
National Model Railway Exhibition. The layout appeared to be well received by
what was a record attendance of 18000+ visitors to the show. The Club has been
in our new club rooms for six months. Work is
still progressing well on the new replacement fiddle yard for our Gorcott/Chilcompton layouts
as well as continuing with the construction of our new Southern Region Layout.

June 2006: The started
the month by selling our
Wincoleton
layout to the proprietor of Castle Trains in Warwick. They plan to display the
layout in the shop. The Club's Annual General Meeting once again provided
few surprises and the Committee where re-elected on block for a further
twelve months. Mick Clements
was elected Club President. Mick is the only founder member of the club who is still a member.
Work continued this month on preparing to move to our new club room to
a factory unit on a Redditch industrial estate. The Club finally moved into our new club room
on Tuesday 27th June 2006.

May 2006:
The Club
staged another successful Redditch Model Railway Exhibition over the weekend of
the 6th and 7th May. Unlike a number of shows in the area in recent months we
managed to buck the trend with an attendance at a similar level to previous
years. Work started this month on preparing to move to our new club room to
a factory unit on a Redditch industrial estate.

January 2006:
The Club had a
very successful weekend exhibiting our Arrowmouth
layout
at the Chesterfield Exhibition. We have to say they put some other exhibitions
to shame with their hospitality afforded to exhibitors. To our surprise the layout was voted the best layout at the show by the
visitors and we were awarded the WD Models trophy for the "hole
in the road"
