October 2004: The Club has been overwhelmed by the positive response and support from traders wishing to have a stand at the club's new Birmingham Model Railway Exhibition. A start has also been made in booking for layouts for the show. The club attended the Quinton 2004 show over the weekend of the 9th and 10th October. Despite a number of teething problems with the Chilcompton layout it was very well received by the visitors to the show.

September 2004: Redditch Model Railway Club shocked the local railway modeling world by announcing their intention to launch a new model railway show called "Birmingham Model Railway Exhibition" over the weekend of the 17th & 18th September 2005. It will exist alongside the current Redditch Model Railway Exhibition staged each May in the civic suite of Redditch Town Hall.

August 2004: Work for the whole of the month centered around the continued improvements to Arrowmouth.
