| December 2002: Work this month has very
much centered on the completion of the remaining buildings on our Chilcompton
layout ready for it's next outing in March 2003 and the continued construction
our new London based layout. |

| November 2002: Much of the month was spent
on the preparation of the club's new display
cabinet for the Warley Model Railway Club Exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre |

| October 2002: Work this month has
centered on the construction of the buildings to both complete our Chilcompton layout and
for our new London based layout which, is currently our long term project. |

| September 2002: Work continues to improve
the fiddle yard on Chilcompton ready for the Loughborough show at the end of the
month staged by the Soar Valley Model Railway Club. The Club exhibited it's
Chilcompton layout at the Loughborough show where is was well received by visitors
to the exhibition. The visitor survey conducted by the Soar Valley Model Railway
Club even showed some of visitors to the show found out about it via this web
site. |

| August 2002: Following problems and access speed with
the ISP that hosted the Club address www.redditch-mrc.co.uk, it was decided to
move providers and so a new address of www.redditch-mrc.com
has been created. This address automatically redirects you to the main
site. |

| July 2002: Club members are currently
involved in improving the wiring of the fiddle yard for our Chilcompton/Gorcott
layouts and work has started once again on our next layout a London suburban
station complete with working underground trains running through a station
beneath the main line station. This Club web site is three years old |

| June 2002: On Saturday 1st June 2002
the hired the
former Great Western inspection saloon on the Severn Valley Railway for the day
to celebrate 35 years of the Redditch Model Railway Club. Significantly, 1st
June 2002 was exactly to the day 35 years since the meeting at the White Hart
Public House in Headless Cross that led to the formation
of the Club. The Club's Annual General Meeting once again provided
few surprises and the Committee where re-elected on block for a further
twelve months. |

| May 2002: The Club staged the 35th Anniversary Redditch Model
Railway Exhibition over the weekend of the 12th and 13th May. Despite the continued access
problems in the town centre due to the major
reconstruction works to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and the 1st Division
football play
off match involving Birmingham City FC on the Sunday afternoon the attendance remained
the same as the previous year. |

| April 2002:
The Club exhibited it's new
Chilcompton
layout at the Derby Show over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd April. The layout
was once again very well received by the exhibition visitors |
|
| March 2002:
Throughout the month club members have
carried on improving our new Chilcompton
layout
ready for it's next exhibition in Derby on 21st and 22nd April. This has
included adding a back scene to the layout. |
|
| February 2002:
After the hard work of the last few months the club
finally took our new Chilcompton
layout to the Biggleswade Show. It works
very well and was very well received considering it is the first time out at an exhibition. |
|
| January 2002:
Trains have finally moved on
Chilcompton to the relief of all involved in the project. |
